常用用法

enclose的基本意思是“包圍”“裝入”,指設置界限或屏障把某人或某物圍在其中,或指把某物裝進密封的容器,以使其防護起來、防禦起來或隱藏起來。引申還可作“ 隨信寄來,隨寄,附在裡麪”解。
enclose是及物動詞,接名詞或代詞作賓語,可用於被動結搆。

fence主要指用柵欄攔開或圍起來; cage指關在籠子裡,有侮辱意味; coop指被關進籠子般的狹小地方,也指受到更加嚴格的限制; enclose指設置界限或屏障把某人或某物圍在其中,也指把某物裝進密封的容器; envelop強調把某物躰完全包起來或整個封起來; pen指監禁在狹窄的地方或施加令人不快的限制; wall指築牆圍住或關入圍有牆壁的地方。例如:

He was cooped up in a tiny room.他被關進小房間。
